In that path of the Brenta river in Bassano del Grappa there are trees cut and left along the way, on the edge of the watercourse. It is a piece of ancient road known as the "Alta via del Tabacco" which I will have frequented who knows how many times over the years, walking it first with my beloved Piuma (female Australian Cattle Dog, Blue Heeler) and now with my equally beloved Luce, his granddaughter. For a few months now, the pieces of log mentioned above have come back to life thanks to the skilled hands of a man with a good soul, a shy artist, a true sculptor of wood and iron... Silvio Rizzato also known as "Grizzly Man", who has been able to transform an already enchanting place, now also magical. An enchanted place from which you would never want to leave .. remaining in contemplation, breathing beauty, the beauty of wild animals masterfully carved in wood or silhouettes of squirrels, ducks, trout, hedgehogs .. leaning here and there on the pieces of trunk along the way . Now a piece of my heart also lives and will live on that path, as "Grizzly Man" Silvio also sculpted Piuma... and it was a wonderful surprise as much as, for me, moving... as I've never known person this beautiful soul of an artist, if not via social media.
